Patient 22030
This is a 15 year old brought to the Austin Gynecomastia by his father for treatment of advanced, unilateral gynecomastia. You can appreciated the size of the mass removed with my standard approach with limited incisions. It’s wasn’t easy removing that large, dense glandular mass through that small incision at the bottom of the areola. The “normal” side didn’t require any treatment and, as you can see in his post operative day one photo, good symmetry exists and his skin retraction is excellent. His youthful age helps skin retraction. After mass removal his father notes some asymmetries of his chest and I explained to him this is HIS normal anatomy and you can often expect that after such a large mass removal. It’s a huge day for my patient, his family and his new life free from the burden of gynecomastia. I am lucky to be a part of this transformation. It’s my honor and privilege.
