Patient Details

This patient is 9 weeks out from my standard gynecomastia surgery. What needs to be learned from his patient story is that guys in their fifties don’t have the skin quality like guys in their twenties. My main concern in their cases is how their skin will retract after treatment. I often have to be a bit more conservative in my treatment to ensure that the result is the way we want it to be.He is still healing. It takes over a year for things to really settle down. Small contour variations need time to soften and become smooth.I am very pleased with his early result as the skin has retracted quite well considering his age and skin quality. I would generally rather have an “imperfect” but natural result than to excise skin with scars across the chest.
