Patient 19695
This young man developed gynecomastia at puberty. It wasn’t that much, but enough to bring him to my office for treatment. He is seen here after gynecomastia surgery involving the removal of a walnut sized glandular area beneath each nipple-areola complex. The result of these masses is puffy nipples. You can appreciate the difference most on lateral view. On the frontal view, you can tell that his chest area is flatter than it was before. He required an injection of steroids on the right side for treatment of a small area of scar tissue that developed five months later. This should handle the problem nicely, but he may need another injection six weeks later and maybe even the removal of this small mass if he is not satisfied.
