This is a 30 year old male, 5’10” and 140 pounds who has had gynecomastia since puberty. On a scale of 1 to 10, with ten being the worst, he says he is an “infinity”. He is seen here after gynecomastia surgery through a small incision around the bottom of the areola with removal of 200cc of fat and a small amount of gland on both sides.After his treatment, his angst score (1-10) is now NEGATIVE! He describes himself as a “cure”. This is someone who fully admits that he no longer has any lingering angst from his gynecomastia. Out of site out of mind!

Not the improved angularity of his chest area and the fact that his nipple areola complexes are no longer puffy. They are considerably smaller and his scar is impossible to see. They are darker as well. This occurs because the skin shrinks and the pigment cells are not concentrated unlike before surgery.

He is really happy and I am really happy for him. I wish all cases result in “cures” but unfortunately this is probably some lingering angst despite treatment in most cases.
